One day Zion tours are operated from both Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. There are a number of different options.

From Las Vegas: This one day Zion tour visits both Zion as well as Bryce Canyon. You also have the option of finishing the tour in Salt Lake City instead of Las Vegas.

From Salt Lake City: The tour goes through Bryce Canyon on the way to Zion, and finishes in Las Vegas.
